“Hacking” your Medical Entry Test
Or Tips to Pass Successfully
1. Know the Test, Know Yourself.
Go for entry test preparation courses or individual counselling and ask what the test will look like, if it will involve problem-solving or be more for memorizing. Ask instructors and elder students about high-yield information, and what the catch is.
2. Identify your learning style
Are you visual or auditory learner? Can you learn best while reading and writing or you need move round (kinaesthetic)? What about your critical thinking? Do you clearly see a big picture?
3. Build your resources & use them!
Statistically, students who are self-sufficient, become more successful with their exams. Go for tutorials, build a set of resources, and attend networking events with senior students who’ve been through similar curriculum.
4. Train a critical thinking
Use test having critical thinking questions in that – as many as possible to train your reasoning-assertion. From our experience it’s possibly the most challenging. While studying concentrate on building your knowledge consistently to be able to solve more complex problems.
5. Rock the CHEMIST(E)RY
You need to learn fully grasp the overview of the various disciplines – connect with different topics in the context. Learn theory and practice exercises based on the concept.
That’s basically a real clue how to bomb the chemistry test. No mistery. ?
6. Tackle Multiple. Not only Questions.
Know what each multiple question is asking. No presumptions, focus literally on meaning of the words and see tricks intertwined while answering multiple questions. Especially those including formulations e.g. all of the above / none of the above, questions with more than possible questions or all of the following ‘except’.
7. Evaluate & Eliminate Answers Systematically
Match the answers with the questions you are asked. Eliminate clearly wrong answers immediately. Try sample medical tests online.
